I keep reading stories about how more and more babies here and to a lesser extent around the world are being named after the messiah, *cough* I mean President-Elect Obama. I look at the historic one and see not his half blackness, but his liberal ideology. I certainly don't blame people who want to name their kids after those they admire. In a perfect world (with a compromising wife) I'd love to give my kids the middle names of "Buckley" and "Reagan" after William F. Buckley and President Ronald Wilson Reagan.
I would just advise that they slow down to see what the presidency of Obama brings. Bush had a 91% approval rating after 9/11, but things can change.
Now surely every liberal would respond with disgust in the thought of Obama not being a rock star for all eternity. Just because he is most certainly not Bush, does not mean he will be a success. Most on the left are so wound up in hate that they don't understand the historical outlook of things. We are far from a depression and things in the world can get much worse. Lets just wait to see if inflation and unemployment hit double digits. Lets hope that Russia and Venezuela don't get more powerful and that Iran and North Korea don't go nuclear. Lets hope there is an Israel come January of 2013. The President-Elect has this highly intellectual slogan of "hope" so I am hoping for the future of this country. The President always gets all the blame and credit for everything that goes on under his watch so if Obama is running the show, it will be the fault of the historic messiah.
The media has never before been so in that tank for a candidate. They love Obama. He is historic (this makes guilty white liberals feel good), urban, good looking, young, has nice family and extremely liberal. He is too big, too historic to fail and the media will make sure of it.
Do though, practice caution in possibly naming your child after a future yet to be unveiled.

Liberal Solution to Liberal Dilema
Two major factions in the democrat party would be the support for universal health care and unions.
As I was pondering their plans for health care when they take office, I was struck with a dilemma they would confront among themselves. If they inject universal health care into the system, then the unions will be at a great disadvantage in their growth. One of the major union selling points is that they will make sure they have adequate health coverage.
Then my ugly ignorance slapped me straight across the face. How dare I underestimate the planning of our nations democrat leaders? As always, our government has it taken care of. They will ram through the "Employee Free Choice Act." It will in short, allow union power to grow ten fold through abolishing the private ballot.
A citizenry under government sanctioned health care with union membership - ahhhhhh welcome to the Liberal paradise.
